Class Description

These yoga classes are best described as alignment flow. Through movement and breath we focus on precise alignment, appropriate modifications for each participant and the use of props to make the practice accessible. Blending elements from Ashtanga, Iyengar and Vinyasa yoga.

Level 1

A Level One class is an introduction to yoga. Yoga Foundations appropriate for someone new to yoga, a beginner or someone coming back after recovering from an injury or a long time away from yoga. In this class we will introduce the sun salutations, standing poses and seated poses.

Level 1/2

A Level One/Two Class is where people have an understanding of sun salutations, standing poses and seated poses and we work on balance postures, introduction to inversions, intro to backbends and twists. This class is designed for someone who has some experience with yoga.

Level 2/3

For the more experienced yoga student, yoga teachers and those up for a strong challenge a Level Two/Three Class is where everyone has a developed understanding of the yoga practice and I teach deeper backbends, arm balances, longer inversions and deeper twists and more complicated balances.
